Rolex Oyster Cushion 9K YG circa 1936. A beautiful and scarce example of the classic cushion Oyster Rolex case developed in 1927 . 3 piece case with screw down bezel and caseback. Screw down original large Oyster Patent crown. Original patina'd antique dial with raised gold arabic figures and minute and seconds track. Also features name of English retailer, Boodle & Dunthorne. This model fueled a marketing campaign by Rolex after it was worn by Mercedes Gleitz who swam the English Channel wearing the then innovative and revolutionary "SWIM PRUF" design.
