Large Roman figures surrounded by black arabic 5 minute indications. 17 jewel manual wind signed Automobile Regulateur. Pin set circa 1880-1900. Unusal piece due to its large size, elaborate Niello themed design, and depiction of early steam powered automobile. The piece may have been a commentary on the evolving technology, juxtaposing old versus new horsepower!
